Hiya folks! Story Tiller’s first month is nearly over! As we move towards September, I’m pleased to share more details on what content to expect:
The BIG Stuff:
- September 1st: Beta Readers will be selected! You’ll get a direct message if selected.
- September 5th: The Wildlands: Guardian Chapter Preview! The prologue of Guardian will be viewable for patrons at the Hand and Maker tier.
- September 12th: Short Stories! The very first Wildlands short story will debut, giving a glimpse into the history of Torhal, the place in which most of the first book is set. Don’t miss it! Hand and Maker tier. There will also be a freebie short posted, too!
- September 19th: This is the tentative date for the first Makers video call (August didn’t have one, I was getting all my ducks in a row still). This will be a deep dive into the status of Guardian and a great place to ask juicy questions after reading this month’s short!
- September 26th: THE DIRT #2 will be posted, available to all patrons!
The Little Stuff:
Memes, ranting, and maybe a post or two about the existing short stories as time allows! If you have questions about Broken Oath or The Moon Lily, direct message me! I’m looking at doing a lore dive/writing workshop post to talk about how these stories came to be.
Don’t forget, the vast majority of content on Story Tiller starts at the Hand tier ($5 a month), so don’t forget to pledge or upgrade your membership according to what you want to see!
A HUGE THANK YOU
Starting Story Tiller has been a project years in the making and it wouldn’t have been possible without the encouragement of my very first patrons. Of notable mention are three people: my wife, Rachael, and her parents, Bill and Angie.
You three know how terrified I was (and still am) of getting this whole thing out into the world. Thank you for believing in my dream, thank you for cheering me on (particularly when I’m hiding under my desk instead of working), and thank you for saying the words nobody else said:
“You want to be a writer? That’s so cool!”
I dunno if this yet counts as ‘cool’…but I’ll take your word on it and keep at it! Thank you.
Miela er Fen.
-Tyler
