Guardian AMA (Ask Me Anything)
On January 30th at 7:00pm Central Time, I’ll be hosting my first ever AMA on my new Youtube channel: Writing Wild. It is scheduled to be a 30-minute stream but will last as long as questions keep coming in and time is available.
I had originally planned to call it ISBW with Tyler Tillerson, but of course, ISBW is already taken (for quite a few years, it seems) by an established author. So, one more thing to begin rebranding! Woo, more work!
Getting on Youtube is something I’ve been gradually working towards and, this is important, Writing Wild is far from finished (or even necessarily ‘ready’). This will be my first livestream to host (ever), so I’m counting on you to show up and…possibly break my internet. We’ll see what happens. I might be a tad anxious about it.
The topic of Writing Wild’s first AMA is Guardian, Book 1 of The Wildlands, and any question goes. Yes, really! Questions you might ask:
“Will you reveal spoilers for Apex and the future?”
Hopefully not, but the right questions might yield insights into certain characters named Lorath, Arius, or Wild.
“Will you answer why is Anise such an entitled, self-centered bit…”
Er-hem. Yes, I’ll answer that. I get asked that a lot.
“Will you explain if Merelith’s romance constitutes furry shenanigans?”
Sigh. Sure. Yeah, I can do that. (I’ll even explain her biology, if you’re that curious.)
The link for said Stream will be posted to both the website and Facebook as soon as it is scheduled (hopefully by the end of this week). I’ll be posting a poll to Facebook to collect the Top 5 questions prior to the stream, too. I absolutely will endeavor to answer as many questions as possible beyond those five.

Looking Forward at 2025
I used to have a love-hate relationship with January. It’s slow and people-less, which is wonderful. It is also when I sit down and tally up the year before, which has typically been disheartening. Until now.
I wrote and published my first book! I still have to do all the EOY stuff I usually do (plus accounting, now!) but it already feels a lot better than previous years. Once I get through the first week, though, January (and February) are often my most productive months of the year with oodles of time to draft.
I’m really gunning for several first-draft chapter previews in either February or March, depending on how Apex is shaping up overall. Guardian had several major shifts between drafts and I’d love to show that in real-time as Apex is built. Beyond working on my second book, two other major projects underway are the rebuilding of Story Tiller on Patreon and continually improving community engagement (with the ISBW AMA Stream being one such improvement).
There’s a lot to do in 2025, but you know what I keep saying: more is coming.
Miela er fen.
