I know, I know…it’s been a very long time since I posted on the site. Accept my deepest apologies for going AWOL for so long. I thought February 2025 was the end of crummy shenanigans.

Well, it wasn’t. Not by a long shot.

Yes, I am well. (After too many doctor visits.)
No, I am not dying. (I did mourn several deaths.)
Yes, writing is difficult. (For me, but that’s always true.)
No, I did not stop writing. (Or you wouldn’t be reading this!)

Oh, the image? Well…big news is coming.
(A choice, too, but that’s getting ahead of the story.)

Suffice to say that Book 2 news will be forthcoming in the near future.
Yes, this year! Sheesh. I said I’m sorry!

Apex is nearly ready for its debut schedule and though I’ve been radio silent for, uh, almost a year, stuff has been going on in the background throughout 2025. Apex has been my only focus for most of last year as I tried to just keep things rolling while dealing with life. It hasn’t at all followed the plan I made back at the end of 2024, but it is on track for publication.

‘The Past Must Have Consequence?’

If you’ve read Guardian, you’ll recall its tagline as ‘The Cost of Everything is Change’. Well, this is the tagline for Apex! I’m currently finalizing my cover art with the amazing Youness Elh – it looks so good, I’m crazy excited to show it off – and among those decisions is, of course, the blurb and the requisite text such as title and tagline.

Apex has been a beast to write because of how 2025 went. I can’t say much more than that…ok, that isn’t true. I could say more, I won’t. You’ll just have to believe me.

Hang in there! (Ok, that was more for me than you.)

More is coming.
